Shiatsu Massage is a traditional Japanese massage. In Japanese Shiatsu means ‘finger pressure’ and is classed as a type of alternative medicine consisting of finger and palm pressure stretches, and other massage techniques. Shiatsu practitioners believe vital energy called qi flows through the body, and that manual manipulations can help to unblock it and so help the body heal itself. Shiatsu massage uses more acupressure techniques with no oil applied during the massage.
